Do You Know?

There He lay, the newborn Savior;

so new to this world of sin.

Did He know, as He gazed in His mother’s eyes;

did He know what his mission was then?

When she watched her new son sleeping;

just sent from heaven above.

Did she know He would give His life for her?

Did she know it would be out of love?

As the shepherds knelt before Him;

being led by the angel’s light.

Did they know, as they saw His innocent face;

did they know who He was that night?

Christmas season is spent reflecting,

for He is the chosen one.

Do you know who it was that was born that night?

Do you know it was God’s own son?
